Our family has been following and praying for many people asking for prayers on Facebook since September. I can truly tell you that is really an amazing thing to follow a family, who have never met and seriously get so connected with them that you cry over the bad news and the good news. I feel so invested in those that I have ‘stumbled’ upon and decided to ‘like’ for the purpose of praying for their healing, as it states in James 5:16, knowing that I’m being changed in the process.
This week, I introduce you to Austin and Alexandra, siblings that have their own journey with health issues and not far from each other in their start of their journeys. My first tear was for the parents, who have literally fighting for their children for close to a year! They need our prayers! Then of course, seeing the newest picture of Austin and Alexandra sharing time together on the couch, like all siblings should.
I hope that you go to Prayers of Austin and Alexandra and ‘like’ their page and follow their journey, lifting them in prayer daily! Then ask your Facebook friends to do the same. Let’s spread the ‘Gift of Prayer’ into 2013 and selflessly lift up those who need healing, encouragement and at times a helping hand!
